This frame has a proper honey arc on: that is the honey is at the top of the frame. Usually there'll be a bit of pollen in cells nearer the brood.
The brood is not a complete filled in pattern.
This is one I've taken.
A beekeeper on our site has some old brood boxes - they're arranged the warm way, (ie: brood frames parallel with front entrance,) but comb came out with honey on one side.
On investigation it turns out there's a tiny gap along the side of the brood box so the bees are building away from the draft.
