The Himalyan balsam will nearly be at it's end now as we've had a touch of frost yesterday morning.

I've seen lots of flowers with a few bumblebees on the allotment today- the comfrey.

What else is out at the moment?
Is the ivy out where you are? They've killed loads of ivy on the big trees near us. It looks shocking and is more shocking for the insects that rely on it.

I've seen dandelions this last week on verges but not in any quantity. The same goes for thistles. A few but not many. I've not seen any ivy flowers out yet. I've bees on a crop of buckwheat but that is now on its last legs. Still balsam coming in round me but who knows for how long.
