your welcome Diane, i think the auctions are great to attend. a great place for getting rid of excess kit, you can pick some good bargains up although you can see some eye watering prices to.

and its worth mentioning if you want to sell bees at any of these , they will need inspecting by the seasonal bee inspector.

The Beverley and Halifax auctions also need paperwork filling out which you can download from their sites. Its just simeple stuff they want to know like how many frames of bees and brood and when were they last treated etc...

Lincoln nucs were making 150-170 from memory. Colonies over £200

Beverley colonies were making £160-180 in single broods, double broods were £250 and nucs 150 approx.

It'll be interesting to find out what bees go for at these two auction's.

If you can get a nuc including poly nuc for £50, I'll take ten please :D

It's a buyers market at present. I'm hearing of nucs (including poly nuc box) going for £45-50......
If selling worth putting as reserve on them.
OMG... They would probably make £200 worth of honey this summer, its madness to sell a nuc + box for that..LOL

Cheers, Mick.
