Is it safe to use wax from China compared to UK sources, any pesticide residue issues?

Standard grade foundation from some of the biggest suppliers contains wax from China so you probably already are using it.
This reminds me, I have quite a few kilos of wax - I should probably do something with it!

Be aware that you will likely be trading with non beekeepers.
There was one case where the sheets were cut misoriented with the hexagon sides at the top rather than the corners,forcing the bees to either overwrite them or ignore completely.
I'd stick to a UK supplier.
Places like Old Castle do packs of eleven good quality sheets at very reasonable prices.
