I had just put a new nuc of very calm bees in my garden temporarily. Which I have done previously without issue. There were no problems until one evening while watering the garden my neighbour called my name. I instinctively turned with hose in hand still on full pressure and caught the entrance of the nuc. :o
The girls didn't take kindly to this and defended themselves by attacking me.
Only thing to do was stand still eyes closed and let them vent their anger. After 10 stings to the face the girls returned home and I had a swollen eyebrow where vast majority of the stings were.
One and only time the girls from that hive have ever launched an attack.
I am now very careful where I point my hosepipe. :!:

:o my big burning question Kirit, how sympathetic was she who must be obeyed?

PS I do hope you are now ok

Not very....She did however insist on recording the injury for prosperity and sharing on the Face-thingy. Cropped photo for your amusement!

Yeouch.

Bad luck mate, not pleasant.

Could have been even worse tho. Probably got to be thankful it wasn't the neighbour they hammered..
