As I have the same extractor as you Steve, and using my cordless drill was interesting, I am all up for making this modification.
You are better of changing from the drill..it did not work for me and you are still tied up holding the drill..with the motor added you are hands free to uncap more frames while it is spinning.

Here is a better picture of the base i made with the castors added..the extra height allows me to easily place a 10L bucket under the gate valve where as before i had to lift the full thing onto a wooden box..a 25L still will not fit but a few 3in chocks under the castors will do the trick..

Don't forget Diane these motors are 24V but run ok with a 12v power supply..if you think the motor needs more power two batteries can be used and if wired correctly the two of them will give out 24v of power..it is really easy to do if need be.

:lol: ..Have you done a test run to make sure it works..i see it has the original potentiometer which should be better than buying a separate speed controller..
