An inherited floor and a bought in Broodbox got paired up last year.
I didn't notice at first but a second entrance was being used above one end of the entrance block.
I thought it was my homemade block but that was all ok.
No spare kit by then,I had to duct tape it and wait

I've got the all surplus kit in ready for turbo tuesday.plus these two bits and now I can see.
The floor and the box have been thrown together providing a perfect storm- 5 mm gap!
I've done some horrific bodging in my time but surely if you know enough to want to make your own kit ,you know that alignment is fairlyuseful?
My little Japanese manservant Makita (Kato's lad)put on  his 40 grit belt and sorted
it out eventually.

I made the mistake of making a (emergency) purchase of a brood box from ebay a few years ago. It wouldn't sit flat and wasn't square, so I had to rip it apart and re-build it; absolutely hopeless. The screws were of random lengths and thankfully it wasn't glued so it was an easy enough fix. I didn't give a very good review of the thing!
