General Q&A, Bee chat and only Bee chat please

Been reading my BBKA News and my eye got hooked on the headline, ' Alternative 'Honey' '. Seems some person in Lancashire is selling fruit flavoured syrup as a vegan alternative to honey. He then gives a donation to a 'Polinator Organization'. Methinks he should miss out the middleman and just keep bees! The jest is that this Lancastrian is supported by the Yorkshire Bank!
Do Vegans really want bees to die out?
Steve.

I’ve also made a fruit flavoured syrup as an alternative to honey.

After getting caught in bank holiday traffic I decided to call it “Jam”. I think there could at least be a niche local market for it.

The absurdity doesn't really warrant a reply.

Of course the 'Vegan fruit"was probably pollinated by bees. The only logical solution for vegans in this case must be to illimiate all insects from all plants that produce food.

And the sugar was likely not produced in any 'sustainable' way - either as sugar cane or as sugar beet.

But a bee, flying on it's merry way, brings food to the door without any food miles and no harm to anyone or thing. Clever heh!
