I think my main plan is to reduce down my number of colonies. It’s the same plan as last year. And the one before that. My resolve is weak...
Apart from that I am thinking to experiment with spring pollen supplement on a few colonies. I have always worked on the principle not to push it in the spring and let them develop at their own speed but this very late spring I questioned that was realistic. Everyone worries about carbs (liquid stores) but protein (pollen) often gets less attention. Having said that, they bounced back well and I had a great crop by the end of the year. So lets see.
