Hey!
I have a vacant hive with a deep brood box that takes 14x12 sized frames.
I am seeking a nuc to house here and have been offered one on DN4 frames (which I believe to be standard national frames which are slightly less deep).

I understand these will 'fit' length wise, but will there be any future issues with using frames that are not as deep as the brood box?

It seems nucs on 14x12 frames are hard to come by!
Thanks for any advice :D

The bees will draw comb on the bottom bars to fill the space..not really to much of a problem if you don't mind a pile of drone brood below the bottom bars...the only problem I could see happening is the wild comb moving and maybe snapping of during inspections on hot days.
