To clear two supers after extracting?
Place both on top of the queen excluder… then place the crown board on top?
Or
Place both supers on top of the crown board .. which is on top of the queen excluder?
Regards.🤔

I put an eke above the crown board to create a space below the super and reduce the feed hole in the crown board to just finger size. Always worked for me. One time I never put an eke on they started to fill the super with nectar. Maybe I started to clear too early :D

I simply put the supers to clean directly on top of any supers on hive, leave 24 hours add clearer board go back 24 hours later remove dry supers and clearer board and jobs done. But as Mick points out not a good idea to do it when there is a flow on :)

The key is that the bees think the wet supers are "outside the hive" so they bring the honey back into their safe area. However this could promote robbing if you have multiple hives as some will fly out to look for it - possibly in another hive. Good practice is to put the wets back on at dusk so there's little chance of the bees flying out and by morning, they have worked out where it is.
