Over in France the Asian Hornet is off to a good start this year and if there are any queens over here they will have had a good start too............
Not the time to ease up on the monitoring.
Incidentally, the European hornet queens are busy too. Unless something happens in June/July I think we are in a for wasp/hornet year.
Half my hives are on Apishields - I might just get the others prepped.

I use mu home made tunnel entrances all year round..mice can not gain entrance in through winter and wasps can not fight there way in at Autumn time..regarding European Hornets we don't get them in my neck of the woods but not sure how the Asian Devils would cope..
