Took an Ivy walk yesterday as mine are bringing in yellow pollen but non in the village is out yet! Found 2 sheltered south facing areas that get the sun and the ivy is out/going over .....full of bees/wasps and other flying insects. One very striking area is a lane with trees keeping the ivy in the shade. Where there was a south facing gate the ivy has finished and black seeds/berries appearing, 10 yards away it has yet to come out. Location, location location :D

Still have Ivy coming in when the sun pops out for 30mins. Been a very strange Ivy this year. It usually flowers too late for my bees to use it in Dec but this year it flowered very early end of Oct and has been flowering intermittently ever since in different locations which has been good for the bees.
