Hi everyone.

Someone contacted me about a suspected honey bee colony in a brick wall. I know typically you'd imagine solitary bees but I'm not certain. Can I have your best stab at identifying these?

Hi Jazz,

I agree with you and call it as honey bees. If they are in a cavity wall it is probably a pest control job and some careful repointing to prevent other bees accessing in the future.

Yeah I don't fancy doing it myself like. I'll stick with the trampolines

Thanks Patrick!

Looking at that brickwork especially the mortar type it looks a bit too previous of cavity wall construction, although there could be a void big enough
Can you access the inside?

Not at all sure. Those photos are from someone who contacted me saying they think they've seen honey bees.
It turns out it's not on their property so I said if they're not bothering anyone and the owner isn't requesting they be removed, maybe it's best to leave them.
