Thymolised syrup - unsure of quantities...?

Hi All,

I'm tying myself in mathematical knots trying to work out how much thymol solution (30g thymol crystals to 150ml of alcohol) to add to a standard single batch of sugar syrup (2lbs sugar to 1 pint of water). To control nosema, how much Thymol solution should I add or have a made to small a quantity of syrup to easily apply this?

PS. I've consulted Dave Cushman and Scientific beekeeper website already! I wish there was a calculator for these things....
Thanks

Your 30g/150ml stock is 1000x
Use 1ml per litre of syrup.
Tip you can get away with adding less and still works.

PS. 5kgs of sugar dissolved in 3.125 litres of water is the metric equivalent of 2lbs to 1 pint for a thick syrup.
