This page - if you translate it - gives information concerning the SHB is Italy. - You may recall an outbreak there a few years ago.

One sentence I will repeat from the website is "A phylogenetic analysis was carried out on the beetles detected in 2019. They confirm that the outbreak is linked to an illegal movement of hives in from the protection zone of Reggio di Calabria".

After seeing loads of hives destroyed by fire when the outbreak first occurred, you might think that beekeepers would behave better. Will people never learn?!
