It would appear an Asian hornet has been spotted again in the new forest area. However can't find anything on NBU site so it may or may not be correct

The Tamworth hornet sighting is now on the BBKA website map. jersey is covered with markers, so the hornet must now be considered to definitely have arrived for good. (Well, bad).

Over 1,000 human migrants made it accross the channel so far in 2019. Dads army is never going to stop the AH in the long run. Waste of resources imho. It needs a rethink by the sensible department if one exists in government / defra.

I agree Dad's army isn't going to stop the issue in the long run but what it does do very effectively is raise aware amongst Beekeepers that's it's coming and start thinking about defence mechanism's.

I do believe it might also slow it down by a year or two. Big maybe.

So well worth doing. Far superior option to finding a sensible government department IMO. 😁

This is Great Britain and Northern Ireland, we don't do sensible Mick! We do do, gun ho, cavalier , what the hell, fingers crossed , never mind , who'd have thought it and just get stuck in but these approaches have served us rather well for ny on a thousand years in fairness. So why change :D :D :D :D :D :D
